CHARLTON — The Southern Worcester County Vocational School District will for a second time ask voters in its 10 member towns to approve a Proposition 2 1/2 debt exclusion for the funding of a $73.8 million expansion and renovation project at Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School at a special election on Thursday, Oct. 4.

Polls will be open in Auburn, Charlton, Dudley, North Brookfield, Oxford, Paxton, Rutland, Southbridge, Spencer, and Webster from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at each town's respective polling center. Absentee ballots will be available before the election.

The SWCVSD will pay the estimated $60,000 to $80,000 cost to hold the district-wide election. Voters will cast their ballots as members of the district, not their respective towns, so a simple majority will decide the outcome of the second election.
