August 12, 2012 SOUTHBRIDGE — When Dana Labb took over as West Street School principal Friday, Aug. 10, he was fully aware of the task before him and welcomes it.
The third principal in two calendar years, Labb said he looks forward to an "opportunity to build a community" at what is effectively a new school.
"I'm interested in working with a broader spectrum of the population," including parents, curriculum issues, teacher development, assessment and other issues, he said. In the post he just ended, three years as assistant principal at Tantasqua Junior High, he primarily dealt with discipline, although he did get some chance to branch out from there.
