SOUTHBRIDGE — There were never any "for sale" signs and everything looks the same, but the Big Y Plaza on Route 131 just changed hands in the town's biggest sale in years.

According to the Sept. 7 listing from the Registry of Deeds, an entity called Southbridge Fair Investors LLC bought it from Alevizos Concord Trust for $10,375,000.

"It sold for what I would've expected," said Assessor Wilfrid Cournoyer. "Properties like that are sold as an income property. I'm kind of glad, because that shows there's some activity in the commercial market."
